Cattell Street Pedestrian Improvements

(Updated June 2024) — Thanks to a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Multimodal Transportation Fund, this project made improvements to Cattell Street from High Street, through to where it turns into College Avenue at McCartney Street. The work began in fall 2023 upon receipt of a highway occupancy permit from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Each intersection was renovated with improved crosswalks, plus added bump outs that reduce the time it takes for pedestrians to cross the roadway. The project was completed in spring 2024.
