Cattell Street Pedestrian Improvements

(Updated Feb. 2024) — Thanks to a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Multimodal Transportation Fund, this project will make improvements to Cattell Street from High Street, through to where it turns into College Avenue at McCartney Street. The work began in fall 2023 upon receipt of a highway occupancy permit from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Each intersection will be renovated with
improved crosswalks, plus added bump outs that reduce the time it takes for pedestrians to cross the roadway. The City of Easton is managing this project in close coordination with the College, and completion is expected in spring of 2024.
