New Simon Center for Economics and Business (Kunkel Hall Renovations)

(Updated Aug. 2023) — Construction is advancing on the new Simon Center for Business and Economics.

The extensive interior demolition has been completed, and the interior wall layouts, along with the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing rough-ins, have begun.

The foundations for the new front glass addition and entryway haven been installed and the steel will be arriving near the end of the summer. Additionally, the furniture selection process has begun with the departments that will be moving into the building. The project remains on schedule for opening next summer, prior to the start of the 2024 fall semester.
