Interior demolition to the former Kunkel Hall building has commenced, and site fencing has been installed in order to delineate the construction area.

Renovations will transform the former Kunkel Hall Building into the new Simon Center for Economics and Business. During this work, we will make additions to the building and install new, larger windows in the facade to increase its natural light. As with recent renovations to Rockwell, Acopian and other classroom buildings, the renovated space will foster collaboration, circulation and flexible classroom layouts for changing pedagogy. Based on current project supply chain issues and the large amounts of glass and new mechanical/electrical system procurement, we expect to have the building ready to open by the start of classes in fall 2024.
