(Updated Aug. 2023) — Classrooms are open in the 4,000-square-foot Scott Pavilion, made possible by a gift from Walter Scott ’59, including three new classrooms and a glass-collaboration center on the fifth floor. The robotics lab has also been completed on the fifth floor, thanks to a gift from Gary ’01 and Leanne ’02 Anderson and a grant from the McCutchen Foundation.
With the January 2023 opening of three new classrooms within the Scott
Pavilion area of the Acopian Engineering Center expansion project, an existing
classroom on the second floor is now being renovated into a new Bioengineering
laboratory and Cell Culture room. The bioengineering laboratory will be a combination of
both a research lab and small classroom area, for hands-on learning. Room upgrades
include new lighting, ceilings, flooring, specialty lab casework, and a new ductless fume
hood. The new lab will be open for use in September of 2023.
Renovations to the exterior building entrance, including upgrading the accessible ramp and improving the building’s exterior and visibility, were completed during the fall 2022 semester.
