Fencing – High and Sullivan were fenced off Monday to allow construction crews to start reconstructing that intersection. Later this week, additional construction fencing will be installed around the center quad to allow crews to roll into Step 3 of construction after passing the Department of Environmental Protection inspection.

Traffic – Due to construction at the intersection of High and Sullivan, two detour routes are set up to help drivers navigate from one end of the campus to the other.

South Campus Detour Route – As drivers approach Markle Hall from High Street, they will be directed down Hamilton Street to Pierce Street, around Bushkill, and back to Sullivan to access the south end of the campus up to Skillman Library.

North Campus Detour Route – If drivers coming up Sullivan Road seek access to High Street, they will be detoured down South College Drive to McCartney Street, where they can make a left and get back to High Street to access buildings up to Markle Hall.

Parking – Several spaces along Sullivan Road on the east side of Hugel Science Center will be inaccessible for several weeks as the intersection of High and Sullivan is reconstructed, along with the parking spaces in front of Markle Hall. Markle Hall’s parking deck remains still open.

Noise – The South construction site will remain noisy along with the small site at the intersection of High and Sullivan.
